What do Martha Choe, COO, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (ret.); Steven González, State Supreme Court Justice; Joanne Harrell, Sr. Director, U.S. Citizenship & Public Affairs, Microsoft; Alan Mulally, President & CEO, Ford Motor Company (ret.); Edward Murray, Mayor, City of Seattle; and Noah Purcell, WA State Solicitor General have in common?  These brilliant leaders are all distinguished alumni from Leadership Tomorrow (LT).

Leadership Tomorrow is a program that offers a unique and highly-admired approach to civic leadership development.  People who go through the program have a deeper understanding of the issues that shape the Puget Sound region, are inspired to get engaged in their community and have the leadership skills necessary to get things done.

LT starts with a structured nine-month program that includes an unmatched curriculum focused on current and emerging regional issues.  Participants gain a close network of people working in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.  They also gain a deeper understanding of what civic engagement means today, and how race and social justice are fundamental leadership issues. But that’s just the first step.  LT alumni benefit from lifelong connections filled with opportunities to learn more, refine leadership skills and give back.

LT is looking for the next group of leaders who are committed to making the Puget Sound region a better place to live and work, and needs your help!  The organization is seeking individuals who might be good candidates for our program.  They could be people from your organization, or other emerging or existing leaders in our region.  The ideal candidate should hold or have the promise of holding significant leadership positions, and be individuals who are committed to community stewardship.  The age range of participants is extremely varied (average age is 39), and candidates come from a five-county region and all types of industries and organizations.  Each class is not only a professionally diverse group of people, they are also diverse in age, gender, race, ethnicity, and where they live and work.

LT relies on referrals from leaders like you to help us find prospective candidates who can work to strengthen our region. Please email referrals (name, company, title and email address) to Keiko Chu-Yamada by March 31, 2017.
