CleanTech Showcase 2016 Presenting Companies Unveiled

Presenting Companies to Spotlight the Latest Innovations from across the Pacific Northwest

 

CleanTech Alliance, the nation’s largest state-level clean technology industry association, unveiled the 24 companies selected to present at the CleanTech Showcase 2016 on June 27 in Seattle. Presenting companies each receive 20 minutes to showcase their latest cleantech innovations in front of 350 industry leaders, policymakers, media and investors. 

 

Selected presenting companies span the entire Pacific Northwest (U.S. and Canada) and consist of CleanTech Alliance members and non-members. The 2016 presenting companies include:

Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems. Enabled by its compact, modular power generation units, SuperCritical Technologies provides clean, ubiquitous and reliable electricity to meet the world's growing energy needs.
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Pacific Northwest National Laboratory conducts research and development to increase U.S. energy capacity and reduce the effects of human activity on the environment. The UW Clean Energy Institute is accelerating the creation of a clean energy economy and will grow the state of Washington’s capacity to sustain our economy and the environment. 
UniEnergy Technologies provides turn-key, megawatt-scale energy storage solutions that deliver both power and energy for commercial/ industrial, micro grid and utility applications. Vartega Carbon Fiber Recycling is a technology development company specializing in the carbon fiber-reinforced plastic recycling process.
1Energy Systems delivers control system software and power system engineering services that enable utilities to integrate rapidly increasing amounts of distributed energy resources into the grid. 38 Zeros deploys low-cost data logging hardware together with cloud services to cost-effectively deliver the energy device data your business relies on. 
aleddra LED Lighting focuses on designing, manufacturing and selling LED lamps through multiple channels.  Ag Energy uses crop by-products to create an environmentally progressive and renewable fuel source that saves farmers money and time while also providing an additional revenue source.
Allumia is a lighting-as-a-service company extending the models that drove solar power’s explosive growth to efficient lighting.  Composite Recycling Technology Center (CRTC) will develop and demonstrate technology to convert the carbon fiber pre-preg waste material into products. 
Beta Hatch farms insects for chickens and creates balanced and natural fertilizers for plants. The benefits of its products mean fewer antibiotics in poultry and less pesticide on fruits and veggies. Hotrock Energy Research Organization (HERO) will engage and collaborate with scientists and engineers to conduct research at prime locations with high geothermal potential around the world.
Distributed Energy Management consolidates all client utilities into a single, financially independent, support directorate that simplifies operations at the nexus of utilities, information, and finance.  Loook harnesses the power of holographic, mixed reality to create meaningful applications for companies, organizations and individuals.
Eco-Tec produces Adsorb-It, an oil sorbent and filtration fabric that removes oil, oil sheen, oil-born contaminants and suspended solids while still allowing the virtually unrestricted flow of water. MicroHAOPs MicroHAOPs is developing new technology that addresses membrane fouling challenges in membrane-based water treatment systems.
Kane Environmental delivers cost-effective, innovative and comprehensive environmental solutions to customers nationwide. Modern Electron is a startup company with a mission to generate cheap, modular and reliable electricity for all. 
OutBack Power is the leading designer and manufacturer of advanced power electronics for renewable energy, backup power, marine and mobile applications. Ronin8 Technologies is revolutionizing the way electronics are made by deploying a closed-loop process for the manufacturing of key materials.
PolyDrop’s patented technology was developed in the laboratories of the University of Washington to enhance the electrostatic discharge capabilities of coatings used in the aerospace industry. ZincNyx Energy Solutions developed a unique flow battery technology using zinc and air as fuel.

 
The CleanTech Showcase is the premier one-day event to experience the latest cleantech innovations from companies and research institutions across the Pacific Northwest. Keynote speakers, panels, poster sessions and an interactive exhibit space will highlight even more technologies, services and ideas covering clean technology, energy and environmental sustainability. CleanTech Showcase 2016 will also feature two keynote speakers:

  • Dr. Steven Ashby: Director of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL)

  • Ira Ehrenpreis: Founder and Managing Partner of DBL Partners
