CleanTech Day in Olympia is your chance to engage and educate Washington State policymakers on the impact of clean tech research, innovation and jobs. Your participation is critical. There is no cost to attend.
The day-long session features:
Lunch Keynote featuring Elliot Mainzer, BPA Administrator
Elliot Mainzer was named Bonneville Power Authority (BPA) Administrator in January 2014 but had served as Acting Administrator since July 2013. Mainzer is responsible for managing the nonprofit federal agency that markets carbon-free power from Columbia River hydroelectric dams and the region's one nuclear plant. BPA also operates most of the high-voltage power grid across the Pacific Northwest, distributing wind and other energy to the region and beyond.
In 2016, our delegation met with 28 legislative offices and hand-delivered information to each legislator. Nervous? Don't be! Our staff will schedule and facilitate each legislative meeting. Each meeting will be attended by a group of CleanTech Alliance members.
The day-long session concludes with a happy hour networking reception offering a relaxed opportunity to rub elbows with elected officials and key clean technology industry leaders.
There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided. The detailed agenda includes:
- 11:15 AM: Welcome and Overview
- 11:30 AM: Lunch and Keynote Presentation
- 12:45 PM: Legislative Briefings
- 4:00 PM: Networking Reception
- 5:30 PM: Program Concludes
