Bill Gates, Other Business Leaders Release Report on Energy Innovation

On September 13, the  American Energy and Innovation Council (AEIC ) released its second report, “Catalyzing American Ingenuity,” highlighting the need for an active government role in energy innovation.  The report recommends ways to improve the effectiveness of government innovation programs and presents options to pay for energy innovation investments.  AEIC members include: Bill Gates, chairman and former CEO of Microsoft; Norm Augustine, former chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin; Ursula Burns, chairman and CEO of Xerox; John Doerr, partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Chad Holliday, chairman of Bank of America and former chairman and CEO of DuPont; Jeff Immelt, chairman and CEO of GE; and Tim Solso, chairman and CEO of Cummins.
