Hydrovolts Turbine Installed at Karcher Creek Plant

The West Sound Utility District of Port Orchard, Washington USA, ordered a Waterfall Turbine for the Karcher Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant from Hydrovolts.  This followed the installation and operation of the Portable Turbine equipped with a Barrel Rotor to prove the concept.  The Turbine is now installed and making power and has been running since December 9, 2011, and powered the lights on a Christmas tree at the plant.  The new turbine will produce up to 1.5 kW, enough to power an average American house.  The pilot project was profiled in the local newspaper, The Kitsap Sun.

Additionally, Hydrovolts won first place and the attention of numerous investors and supporter at the Keiretsu Forum Angel Expo in San Francisco on November 17.  The Keiretsu Forum is the world’s largest angel investing organization, with over 800 members in twenty one chapters on three continents.  Twelve companies were invited to give presentations and the audience of more than 300 investors voted for the “Most Valued Company”.
