Vote Tape-It-Easy and Help Bring an Infy Maker Award Home to the Northwest

Voting is now open for the 2017 Infy Makers Awards. This year presents a unique opportunity for CleanTech Alliance members and supporters – the ability to vote for one of our own. Tape-It-Easy, a CleanTech Alliance member and accelerator cohort alumni, is a finalist.

Tape-It-Easy created human-powered drip irrigation installation tool that saves water while cutting installation time and labor requirements in half. Drip tape is the most water efficient irrigation system on the market with 95% efficiency. Typical sprinkler systems top out at 65% efficiency.

In 2015, Infosys Foundation USA committed $1 million to support Makers across the U.S. during the National Week of Making initiated by the White House This included the initial launch of the Infy Maker Awards and the #WhyIMake initiative aimed at enabling Makers to share their stories and highlight the impact that making is having on education, entrepreneurship and communities. This year, the competition focuses on four areas: education, health, environmental sustainability and food. The Infosys Foundation will support 25 Makers with the most promising projects, providing each winner with $10,000.
