Meet CleanTech Alliance Board Member Kim Johnston

Native Washingtonian Kim Johnston joined Snohomish County PUD in June 2019 as the director of government and external affairs. 

Kim has been at the nexus of federal policy and politics for nearly 15 years. She brings an expertise in legislative, advocacy, communications and campaign management. 

Most recently, Kim served as chief of staff for Representative Rick Larsen, who represents Snohomish and Island County. In this role, she was the top political and policy advisor to the congressman, who serves as the chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Aviation Subcommittee. She has over a decade of experience developing and implementing legislative strategies and communication plans in Congress. 

Throughout her career, Kim has focused on serving the people of northwest Washington to ensure continued economic growth and prosperity. 

Kim graduated from Western Washington University. She returns from Washington, DC, to her roots in Washington state with her husband Andrew Lisi.
