Comments requested by June 8 on draft incremental cost rule
Commerce is requesting written comments on the draft incremental cost rule for the Clean Energy Transformation Act. This rule (WAC 194-40-230) is included in the first discussion draft published April 28. Written comments will be used to identify priority topics for the June 16 workshop on this rule section. The workshop will be conducted jointly with the Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC). Please submit comments by email to ceta@commerce.wa.gov.
First discussion draft rule language and June 15 comment deadline
Commerce’s first discussion draft rule language is available here. Commerce is requesting comments on the rules discussed at workshops held on May 7 and May 21 (110, 200, 210, 220, 300, 310, 320). The comment deadline for these sections is June 15. Please submit comments in a Word document format.
After June 15, Stakeholders will have the opportunity to discuss and submit written comments on the other sections of the first discussion draft rules (040, 050, 060, 230, 330, 340, 350, 360, 370, 400). However, Commerce welcomes comments on these sections prior to their yet-to-be-determined comment deadlines.
Joint UTC-Commerce Incremental Cost Workshop
Commerce and UTC will be hosting a workshop on June 16 to discuss the agencies’ draft rules on the 2% incremental cost provision in CETA. Commerce’s draft rule is WAC 194-40-230. Meeting details and materials will be posted on the CETA rulemaking webpage before the workshop.
Commerce announces topic for June 24 workshop
Commerce’s June 24 workshop will be on two reporting sections (040, 050) and two compliance sections (330, 340) of the first discussion draft rules. Meeting materials will be posted on the CETA rulemaking webpage prior to the workshop.
