Governor Polis Celebrates Colorado Fusion Week, Highlights Colorado’s Leadership in Fusion Energy

GOLDEN – Today, Governor Polis joined energy leaders to celebrate Colorado Fusion Week, highlighting Colorado’s leadership in fusion energy research, advanced manufacturing, and innovative energy solutions.

“Colorado Fusion Week helps boost Colorado’s role in cutting edge clean fusion energy. We are building on the Letter of Intent I recently signed with Marvel Fusion while leading a state delegation to Germany as well as with other innovative private sector leaders. For  our economy to harness and benefit from fusion energy we must act now, and Colorado is doing just that. We have the research institutions, the talent, and the innovative spirit to become the global center for fusion energy,” said Governor Polis.

Governor Polis recently visited Marvel Fusion’s headquarters in Munich when he led a delegation to Germany in June 2026. During that trip, the State of Colorado, Marvel Fusion, and Siemens Energy signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to strengthen transatlantic collaboration and increase the development and commercialization of fusion energy.

Hosted by Colorado Cleantech and CleanTech Alliance, Colorado Fusion Week highlights the work of suppliers, companies, investors, universities, policymakers and workforce partners building the broader ecosystem required to launch a new industry. Governor Polis was joined at the event by Xcimer Energy, Marvel Fusion, Horne Technology, Lowercarbon Capital, Leitmotif, economic leaders from across the Front Range as well as prominent fusion researchers from the University of Colorado, Colorado State University and the Colorado School of Mines.
