Copenhagen and Denmark are leading the global charge for developing technologies. In 2012, Denmark announced that the country would lead the transition to a green growth economy and be the first country to be independent of fossil fuels by 2050. Copenhagen was recently raised by the OECD for its investments in renewable energy and low-carbon technology.
The delegation will have the opportunity to learn more about Denmark’s initiative and meet with organizations like State of Green, SEED Capital, Vækstfonden, Faktor 3, Resen Energy, Copenhagen Capacity, Risø DTU and US/Denmark/Copenhagen government representatives.
Stockholm was the first city designated the European Green Capital in 2010, and is home to one of Europe’s most advanced cleantech clusters. It is also the leading Scandinavian hub for environmental science, with cutting edge technology companies doing work in new materials, alternative fuels, and green energy, all of which makes Stockholm the world class experts.
The delegation will have the opportunity to learn more about Stockholm’s mature cleantech cluster and meet with organizations like the Royal Seaport, higher education institutions, Stockholm Innovation and Growth (STING), Stockholm Business Region Development (SBRD), Biorecro, Arlanda Airport energy storage, US/Sweden/Stockholm government representatives, Chromogenics, Ferroamp Elektonik, Ecospark and ClimateWell.
The visit will give a plethora of opportunities for you to make connections for expanding your global business and government networks and allow you to see first-hand ways your company can create valuable partnerships in Scandinavia.
