Cleantech Open Seeks a Volunteer Metro Director for Eastern Washington

Metro director overview:

We need a few energetic and engaging rock stars to help run the Cleantech Open regional accelerator. As a Metro Director, you will work alongside our metro and regional leadership to help run all aspects of the 2015 accelerator in Eastern Washington and the surrounding area.

Metro Directors will get hands on experience running a business accelerator, working with entrepreneurs, business professionals, investors and civic leaders. Metro Directors help run our recruiting activities, summer Academy, business clinics, investor events and regional awards. Along the way, you’ll meet great entrepreneurs, well established investors, local and state leaders and a bunch of generally brilliant people.

Who we’re looking for:

We need a creative and inquisitive volunteer with a passion to learn and apply something new every day. You must have a desire to make a difference in the environment and in industry with clean technology and be open to working with entrepreneurs, sponsors and other volunteers in a team environment.

Ability to commit approximately eight hours / week for a minimum of eight months is required.

What you’ll do:

Metro Directors will wear a number of hats:

  • Build a local volunteer team of ambassadors in Eastern Washington and the surrounding area to assist in program execution.

  • Build the local Cleantech Open network: Engage and build relationships with key strategic partners across Eastern Washington, including business, professional organizations, government, academia/research, investors, and accelerators/incubators.

  • Be the face of Cleantech Open in Eastern Washington and the surrounding area.

  • Facilitate program execution: Work with your local team to recruit entrepreneurs into the program, coordinate their accelerations experience, and prepare them for regional and national showcasing events.
