CleanTech Alliance Board Chairs select Maggie Brown for ongoing commitment and impact to both the CleanTech Alliance and broader cleantech sector.
CleanTech Alliance named Maggie Brown of APCO Worldwide as its Chairman’s Award winner. A panel of past and present CleanTech Alliance Board Chairs selected Brown for her ongoing commitment and impact to both the CleanTech Alliance and the broader industry. The Chairman’s Award, sponsored by Boeing, is a special presentation for the CleanTech Alliance Annual Meeting and 10th Anniversary Celebration.
Maggie is executive director and managing director of APCO Worldwide’s Seattle office where she focuses on supporting cleantech companies with issue management, corporate positioning and crisis and litigation communication programs. She has helped numerous clients manage issues related to energy, environment and sustainability through the development of effective communication strategies.
Maggie has also been a steadfast supporter of the CleanTech Alliance and cleantech sector at large, serving on the Alliance’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee since 2010. Brown also serves on the University of Washington Clean Energy Institute Advisory Council and is on the Leadership Council of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE).
“The impact of the CleanTech Alliance relies on the strength and support of our members,” said Steve Klein, Chair of the CleanTech Alliance Board of Directors. “Maggie Brown’s individual efforts and APCO Worldwide’s organizational contributions exemplify why the CleanTech Alliance continues to grow across the Northwest region. Her counsel has helped transform the clean technology sector at the local, national and global scale.”
