Itron has announced that CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd selected Itron for its 4,500 advanced meter pilot project. Under the recently signed agreement, Itron will provide smart meters, data collection software, meter data management software, Itron Cellular Solutions, and Cisco’s Connected Grid Routers (CGRs), as well as Connected Grid Network Management System (CG-NMS).
“I’m confident that the architecture from Itron and Cisco will provide a flexible platform for CLP Power’s future initiatives,” said Alan White, vice president of Itron Energy Group, Asia Pacific. “We’re looking forward to helping CLP Power achieve its goals and vision for smart energy delivery.”
The pilot system will demonstrate the full spectrum of advanced capabilities using Itron’s single and three-phase meters that will be deployed under the smart grid network architecture.
