Seattle Business Magazine: Green Washington Awards 2012 Announced

Seattle Business magazine honored Washington state’s most sustainable organizations at the Green Washington Awards in Seattle. In addition to identifying a Green 50 list of fifty outstanding organizations, the magazine recognized winners in twelve categories from across the state and from virtually every sector of the economy.

“Just as Washington state led the way in the aerospace revolution and the software revolution, we can lead the way in the clean tech revolution,” said then Washington gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee in his keynote speech.  Inslee is the author of Apollo’s Fire: Igniting America’s Clean Energy Economy.

Winners were selected from a large pool of nominations by a panel of judges from prominent organizations in the region, including the Washington Environmental Council, Climate Solutions, the Bainbridge Graduate Institute and the Washington Clean Technology Alliance.
