Clean Energy Leadership Council Releases Draft Plan

Source:  Tom Ranken, WCTA eNewsletter, October 1, 2010.   Our legislature created the Clean Energy Leadership Council to propose actions that our state can take to accelerate business and job growth.  The CELC is now looking for public input into its draft plan.

The CELC recommends the deployment of “Market Driver Initiatives” where we have inherent competitive advantages.  These areas include energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and bioenergy.

I encourage you to read the draft and provide input.  Public meetings in the Tri-Cities and Seattle are upcoming (see below for places and times).  Meetings in Spokane and Vancouver were well attended.

Cleantech is moving fast around the world.  Building a vibrant cleantech sector in our state will require leadership.  I encourage you to help ensure that the CELC is on the right track.
