FAA to Grant Sea-Tac Over $18 Million to Pump Air Conditioning into Every Plane sitting at a Gate

Port of Seattle announced that the FAA will grant Sea-Tac over $18M to pump air conditioning into every plane sitting at the gate, saving 5M gallons of fuel and reducing carbon emissions by 50,000 tons per year.  Keith Loveless, who leads environmental efforts at Alaska Airlines, said that Sea-Tac could “lead the nation into the next generation of flight technology.”
