Harvest Power raised $51.7M in one of the nation’s largest cleantech deals. Based in MA and with a Seattle presence, the firm focuses on producing energy and fertilizer products from waste such as food scraps and yard trimmings using microorganisms to break down waste and produce biogas, which can produce electricity, natural gas, or compressed natural gas fuel. Harvest says it has broken ground on a waste-to-energy facility in the Vancouver, BC area.
