Growing Algae for Biofuel Could Help Meet Renewable Fuel Targets

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory published research in Water Resources Research suggesting that growing algae for biofuel could help meet renewable fuel targets by replacing 17% of oil imported for transportation. The study shows that water use is much less if algae are grown in the regions that have the sunniest and most humid climates.
