Google, which has a Kirkland office, has invested $100M in the new Shepherds Flat Wind Farm in OR, which is expected to be the largest wind farm in the world. The facility will produce 845MW of energy in 2012, enough to power more than 235,000 homes. Google said the investment brings its total invested in clean energy to more than $350M.
