- Description – The Project Manager will arrange and host/co-host five business to business (B2B) events in Western Canada and the Pacific North West US, each focused on specific sectors and each incremental to conferences/summits held along-side these events. The five B2B events are as follows: (1) July 2012 – Aviation Bio-fuels, Saskatoon SK; (2) September 2012 – Energy Storage, Portland OR; (3) January 2013 – Food Processing Expo, Portland OR; (4) March 2013 – Medical Technology Innovation Session, Vancouver BC; and (5) July 2013 – Clean Energy Technology, Anchorage AK. To ensure that each of the five B2B sessions brings together companies from Western Canadian provinces and the United States, PNWER and the project manager will, for each of the five events, recruit and arrange for businesses from the aforementioned areas to meet with prospective partners in the other country. The recruitment of Western Canadian businesses will focus on small and medium enterprises; however appropriate large Canadian companies will also be invited to participate.
- Project Location – The Recipient shall carry out the Project in Saskatoon, SK; Portland, OR, Vancouver, BC; Anchorage, AK.
Period of performance is June 2012 – August 2013.
Consultant must be able to travel to and from the US and Canada and possess a valid passport.
This is a contracted position and does not include benefits. Contract not to exceed $60,000 and is dependent on experience.
