The Washington State Housing Finance Commission is eagerly seeking strong candidates to take over the Sustainable Energy Program. Although the listing is heavy on housing, I’ve been running it as a general clean energy focused economic development program. We’ve branched out into single family homes, commercial buildings, and even generation side projects to help prove out new ideas.
In general, there is a shortage of honest brokers and early money into new business models for energy projects. We want someone who can play both roles. Done right, this position can be an incredible launch pad in addition to playing a key role in the region’s cleantech sector.
