Intellectual Asset Management Magazine Ranks Perkins Coie in the Top 10 Law Firms for Patent Quality for the Sixth Year in a Row
Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Magazine has ranked Perkins Coie #4 Overall among U.S. law firms for Patent Quality in 2015 for preparing and prosecuting the highest quality patents. This is the sixth consecutive year Perkins Coie has been ranked in the Top 10 Law Firms.
Based on research commissioned by IAM Magazine from Ocean Tomo’s Patent Ratings® business, the 2015 IAM/Ocean Tomo Quality Report evaluates which law firms secure the highest quality granted patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for their clients.
For 2015, Perkins Coie broke into two new categories: Consumer Electronics/Discretionary, landing the 4th spot and Healthcare (Pharma/Bio), entering in at 8th. The firm also remains steady in both the Information Technology (4th place) and Industrials (5th place) categories.
This sixth annual survey is the only one of its kind. Rankings are determined using the Ocean Tomo Patent Ratings® system, which develops and validates quantitative measures of the patent quality and value, as well as the relative proximity of patents and technologies. The statistics are from three years of data and therefore accurately represent the highest quality patents.
