Washington Green Schools Seeks Board Members

Washington Green Schools is currently seeking industry leaders to serve on its Board of Directors. The nonprofit guides and supports students and K-12 schools to be leaders for environmental sustainability in their communities. The organization’s green school certification system facilitates and recognizes STEM-based action projects that drive conservation results in schools and school districts. Today, more than 350 schools and 78,000 students from across the state are involved, and the organization’s vision is that every student in Washington will attend a green school.

Washington Green Schools seeks candidates interested in joining the organization’s 10-member Board of Directors. Community leaders with board experience and interest in applying their strategic skills and connections to grow our organization are welcome to send a letter of interest to Meredith Lohr, Executive Director, at meredith@wagreenschools.org.

Currently, the Washington Green Schools Board meets in the morning, every other month, in Pioneer Square, with committee meetings in alternate months.
