| Washington Department of Ecology Announces $3,600,000 in Volkswagen Settlement Funds for Shore Power for Ocean Going VesselsThis is a competitive grant solicitation. Ecology announces the availability of up to $3.6 million in grants to help accelerate the transformation to electric shore power for ocean going vessels at Washington deep draft ports. Investing in zero-emission technologies will help address current air pollution problems, avoid future air pollution problems, and improve both near and long-term public health in communities historically disproportionately impacted by diesel pollution.
