Upcoming workshops will be virtual-only
In accordance with Center for Disease Control and the Washington State Department of Health COVID-19 guidance, Commerce’s upcoming workshops will be virtual-only.

Guidelines for Energy Assistance for Low-Income Households (RCW) 19.405.120
Commerce has posted guidelines to provide background for the work directed under Energy Assistance for Low-Income Households (RCW 19.405.120). Please send questions to Sarah Vorpahl (sarah.vorpahl@commerce.wa.gov).

Joint UTC and Commerce webinar on 2% rate impact provision and incremental cost methodology
Commerce and the Utilities and Transportation Commission will be hosting a joint webinar on March 17, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, that will focus on the provision in RCW 19.405.060 concerning the incremental cost methodology and the 2% rate impact provision. This section of CETA has separate but similar provisions applying to consumer-owned utilities and investor-owned utilities that elect to limit their use of renewable or nonemitting resources due to rate impacts.

The agenda and webinar link are posted on the CETA rulemaking webpage. Stakeholder comments submitted to Commerce are available in the comment library. Comments submitted to the UTC are posted in its Docket UE-191023.

Thermal renewable energy credits virtual-only workshop
Commerce will be hosting a virtual-workshop on March 27 to discuss thermal renewable energy credits under RCW 19.405.100(8). Details will be provided before the workshop.

Small utility reporting and planning virtual-only workshop
Commerce is holding a virtual-only workshop on April 6 to discuss reporting and planning for small utilities under CETA. This workshop will focus on requirements for utilities that have fewer than 25,000 customers and utilities that are not required to prepare an integrated resource plan under RCW 19.280.030(1). Details will be provided before the workshop.

Emissions reporting draft language virtual-only workshop
Commerce will be hosting a virtual-only emissions reporting draft language workshop on April 28. Draft language and meeting details will be posted in advance of the meeting.
