Commerce publishes 2021 Energy Independence Act Summary and Detail Report
The Washington State Department of Commerce has posted the 2021 Energy Independence Act (EIA) Report Summary and Detail on the EIA Reporting webpage.
The Report Summary and Detail shows utility progress toward meeting their conservation and renewable energy targets under the EIA.

Every electric utility subject to the EIA is required to submit a report to Commerce by June 1 each year on progress toward meeting the targets for conservation and renewable energy under the EIA.
We greatly appreciate every utility submitting these reports on time and working with us in preparing the Report Summary and Detail.

Interpretations of use workshop
Aug. 12, 1 to 4 p.m.
Commerce and the UTC will hold a joint rulemaking workshop on interpretations of use provisions in RCW 19.405.040 from 1 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2021. Meeting details and materials will be posted on the CETA webpage ahead of the meeting.
SEPTEMBER
Joint rulemaking stakeholder workshop – topic to be announced
Sept. 27, 2021, 1 to 4 p.m.
Commerce and the UTC will hold a joint rulemaking workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 27, 2021. A meeting topic and materials will be posted on the CETA webpage ahead of the meeting.
OCTOBER

Oct. 4, 2021, 1 to 4 p.m.
Commerce and the UTC will hold a joint rulemaking workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 4, 2021. A meeting topic and materials will be posted on the CETA webpage ahead of the meeting.
