Commerce publishes 2020 Utility Emissions Report
Starting this year, each utility provider is required to calculate and report the greenhouse gas content of the electricity it provides to retail customers in Washington. The calculation must be based on the amounts and fuel sources claimed in the fuel mix disclosure program. Emissions are required to be based on a methodology established by the Department of Ecology.

All electric utilities in Washington are required to report to Commerce on their energy assistance programs under RCW 19.405.120(4) by Feb. 1, 2022. The reporting template and supporting materials can be found on the Compliance and Reporting webpage.
