Snohomish County PUD is seeking federal permission to install tidal power turbines in Admiralty Inlet (CrossCut). SnoPUD has cut its energy use in its buildings by 10% as part of the PUD’s Energy Challenge. About 130 local businesses have joined the Energy Challenge saving nearly 16M Kw hours (enough to serve 1,260 homes).
