HB 1301 promotes the development of clean energy jobs in the state by:
- Modifying a tax credit encouraging energy consumers to meet their on-site electricity demands by installing renewable energy systems;
- Establishing a fund to incubate clean energy manufacturing in the state by awarding tax credits through a competitive process that gives preference to systems built in the state; and
- Establishing performance milestones to measure the level of success achieved.
The bill creates the green jobs tax credit account within the sustainable energy trust program.
