The King County Executive’s Seventh Annual Small Business Awards program celebrates the importance and accomplishments of small businesses, throughout King County, in the following categories: Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, Exporting, Green/Sustainable, Workforce Development, Rural, and the overall Small Business of the Year.
To be eligible for nomination, businesses must be located in King County, have 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees, and have been in business for at least three years. Previous winners and finalists are ineligible for nomination.
The four highest ranking businesses for each category will be invited to attend the awards event:
- Date: Thursday, September 21, 2017
- Time: 7:15 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. continental breakfast/networking; 7:50 a.m. to 9 a.m. awards ceremony.
- Place: Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.
- Entertainment: Seattle Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline.

The website will accept nominations from June 26 through July 26, 2017. Judging will occur during August. The four finalists for each category will be announced in early September.
