The Centralia Coal Transition Grants Energy Technology Board approved a $752,000 grant amount to OCOchem to design, develop, and implement a large-scale formic Electrolyzer System and formic-fueled power generator.
The project will support the economic and environmental benefits associated with electrochemically converting clean electricity, carbon dioxide and water to a liquid hydrogen form to generate distributed power to the Port of Tacoma and other locations in Washington State.
