Bio Energy Proposal Solicitation: U.S. and Israel

The Israel Energy Partnership and the U.S. Israel Science and Technology Foundation, along with the Oil Free Initiative of the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and MATIMOP (the Israeli Industry Center for R&D on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor) are soliciting proposals for the U.S.-Israel Bio-Energy Challenge, a competitive program that will pick up to twelve leading biofuels companies and academic researchers to serve as the advance guard for forging a collaborative effort on bioenergy between the U.S. and Israel. The U.S.-Israel Bio-Energy Challenge is supported by the White House; the Israeli Prime Minister’s Petroleum Free Initiative; the U.S. Department of Energy; the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA); the U.S. Navy; the U.S. Air Force; Israel’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor; and industry representatives in both countries.
